Lans A. Fofana

Owner, Master Fitness Trainer

Lans A. Fofana, better known as FO was inspired by fitness while growing up in Sierra Leone.  Having watched his beloved grandmother, Mammy Fatu, struggle with her weight,  slowly lose her independence and her ability to walk, Fo vowed to fight for his own independence and to help others by making health and wellness a priority.

FO served in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army where he became a Master Fitness Trainer. During his service, he volunteered to turn groups of remedial fitness Marines and Soldiers into top-notch lean machines. His fierce competitiveness and empathetic spirit established him as a leader among his military comrades. FO does not like to lose; however, it is how he loses that matters most. When challenged, he gives 100 percent to create a close fight and that is the same determination he practices with his clients to reach their fitness goals.

 

FO has an Associate of Science degree in Exercise Science, with an Emphasis in Personal Training through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) College of Exercise Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Hawaii Pacific University, and a MBA from the University of Phoenix.

 

FO is a Certified Master Trainer through the ISSA. He has also secured the following advanced certifications from ISSA:

  • Strength and Conditioning

Helping people achieve their fitness goals is Gustavus’ passion; he has been around the block when it comes to fitness. Not only has he lifted weights his whole life, but he has also been involved in many different athletic endeavors. As a fitness trainer, he is committed to ensuring that his clients not only meet, but exceed their goals. His motto is: "do what you love and do it with your heart and soul. Make a difference and affect change where you can." Gustavus is a certified fitness trainer through International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).

Kamilah is certified in Kickboxing, Tae Bo, Group Exercise and Zumba. Kamilah has had a passion for fitness training since she was teenager and enjoyed participating in various Kickboxing, Bootcamp and Zumba classes in the DMV.  She then decided to follow her passion and share her love of physical conditioning with others. Kamilah also has many years of experience in athletics and enjoys incorporating different techniques and approaches to the workout. With Kamilah’s sunshine, electric energy and persistent drive to achieve success you will always enjoy your workout!
